Mark has taught at Berklee College of Music since 2001, New England Conservatory since 2021 and Berklee Online since 2005. He has also given clinics and masterclasses worldwide and has served on the faculty of The Collective in New York.

Mark’s students have gone on to work with Esperanza Spaulding, , Grace Kelly, Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D’Rivera, Sting, Beyoncé, Snarky Puppy, Becca Stevens, Adrian Belew, and such musicals as In the Heights, The Last Ship and Chicago.
